The Founder

Jon Goldsmith

Hi, I'm Jon Goldsmith. I founded J Goldsmith Design because too many homeowners were making expensive outdoor living decisions without the guidance they deserved.

I've worked on projects ranging from patios and outdoor kitchens to covered structures, decks, and full backyard transformations. What I've learned: successful projects start with a clear plan, honest expectations, and good communication.

I help clients navigate the design and planning process with confidence — combining design expertise, real-world construction knowledge, and straightforward budget guidance to create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and buildable.

When I'm not designing outdoor spaces, you'll usually find me spending time with my wife, Amber, and our two dogs, Charlie and Aspen. I'm also a big Atlanta United fan and enjoy exploring local breweries around Atlanta.

What Sets Us Apart

01

Design Expertise

Great outdoor spaces start with thoughtful design. Every recommendation is made with your lifestyle, property, and long-term goals in mind.

02

Construction Insight

Design is only valuable if it can be built successfully. Real-world construction experience helps ensure your project is practical, buildable, and ready for execution.

03

Budget Awareness

We help you understand the real cost of your outdoor project before you commit. Honest guidance on where to invest, where to save, and how to phase work intelligently over time.
